SONNENBERG GARDENS

If you have ever fantasized about having a party on the grounds of an historic estate, you have to consider Sonnenberg Gardens for your next event. Formerly the summer home of Canandaigua benefactors Frederick Ferris and Mary Clark Thompson, Sonnenberg (German for "sunny hill") features a wonderful 1887 forty-room Queen Anne style mansion and 50 acres of impecably-groomed gardens. The estate is located at the north end of Canandaigua Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region in Upstate New York. You have the options of renting the mansion, the gardens or the entire estate for your next event. This spectacular venue is perfect for graduations, rehearsal dinners, weddings, fundraisers and more. In 2005, the renowned Finger Lakes property was named an historic park and is now managed by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.
